Shirdi Sai Baba or Sai Baba of Shirdi was the Indian spiritual master who was unique and lived his message of being in relationship with the God all his life. He was strongly of the view that religion and caste systems should never be opposed and the persons having different beliefs and religions should not be distinguished on the basis of theirs beliefs and religions. He always advised his followers ad devotees to lead a moral life and always help others. He also emphasized on the importance of one’s duties without any obsession and love for the earthly matters through his practices and preaching.
So listening the preaching and teachings of Sai Baba, people realized that Sai Baba was not an ordinary person and has some factor which is not normally present in human beings. After the death of Sai Baba of Shirdi in the year of 1918, the followers and devotees of him remained crying so it was decided to build a temple ay Shirdi village where Sai Baba was used to address his followers. So Shirdi Sai Baba Temple was built over the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba in the year of 1922.
The design of the temple is the beautiful one which is approx. 296 km away from Mumbai. Many tourists all around the world visit the temple of Sai Baba of Shirdi because his followers are expanded all across the globe. Around 60, 000 people visit the temple every day and the number of this visit increases on the weekend and goes to almost one lac.

There are numerous festivals that are celebrated in the Sai baba Temple and at least two to three lakh devotees visit the famous shrine during its festivals. The festivals at the temple are celebrated with great organization and respect with the program of Puja, bhajan, reading of Geeta and many other religious activities. The famous festivals of the temple include:
- Ramnavami: it is a famous festival that is celebrated with great excitement and ordeal. This festival is celebrated in the month of March or April every year. People from all over the world visit his shrine during this festival.
- Gurupurnima: the full moon festival is another famous festival that is celebrated to honor and to seek blessings from the guru Sai Baba.
- Shirdi Vijayadashmi: it is also another big festival that is celebrated at Sai Baba Temple. This festival is celebrated during the month of October and this is the best time if you are planning to visit the temple of Sai Baba Shirdi.
