But before they can start driving, they need to learn driving and to learn to drive a vehicle on the road, a person needs to possess a valid learner driving licence. Steps to Apply for a Learner Driving Licence through Online Medium
Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for a Learner Driving Licence through online medium
The first step is to navigate to the website of Delhi Government where you can book an appointment to visit the RTO and submit the application form. You can visit the website by clicking here.
Once the website is displayed, select the option stating Online Service: Appointment with e-Payment. A new page will be displayed and select the service from the page.
Now you would require filling the form that is displayed on the screen. Enter all the details correctly and proceed to the next page.
On the next page, you can select the time and the date of the appointment and if the selected date and time is available, you can proceed to the next page for making the payment of the licence fee. The fee varies from Rs 500 to Rs 1400.
After making the payment you may take the printout of the application form and the payment receipt.
On the day of the appointment, you would have to visit the RTO and submit the application form along with the documents at the counter.
After submitting the form, you would be called in for a photograph, digital signature and fingerprints. Once this has been done, you will be given a test time and the test slot.
In the next step, you would require appearing in a written test. The test is an MCQ test and you need to clear the test to get the learner licence. After completing the test, submit the test to the invigilator and if you are able to clear the test, you will receive your licence in 24 hours.
Do not forget to collect the receipt of the licence as you would be needing it while collecting the licence. If you are unable to clear the test, you would have to reappear in the test.
